Our Future
District 1 is undergoing extensive transformation. While we stand to benefit from major investments like the CityCenter project, unique benefits also come with unique, serious impacts on our neighborhoods. As the City begins development, we need a councilor with a proven ability to gain a working knowledge of complex policies and mitigate their impact on constituents.
This race is about expanding City Council to hear from all of our voices, not just the few loud voices we hear from over and over and over. I want to hear from you about the values we share. I've spent time getting to know my neighbors and business owners and attending Council and the City’s boards and commissions meetings: listening, learning, and readying myself to get to work for you.
Some of the topic areas shared with me:
Housing affordability
Data privacy, including federal data sharing and Flock cameras
Englewood’s unique neighborhoods and small-business community
Responsible development, especially the upcoming CityCenter project
I will be holding feedback sessions in the upcoming month focusing on each of these issues, making sure I hear from as many voices as possible. More information coming soon!
